As for any major event also today we decided to gather our feelings from yesterday´s evening and choose the outfits that charmed us, but also those over which we just shook our heads. Therefore the result is that we were both a bit disappointed...
Včerajší dlho očakávaný Met Ball, ktorý sa mal niesť v duchu tohtoročnej pompéznej témy "Charles James - America´s first couturier", v nás zanechal veľmi zmiešané pocity. Možno práve vďaka tomu, že sme od tejto témy očakávali pompézne róby s nadýchanými sukňami, dlhé šaty s nádhernými doplnkami, extravagantné šperky či rukavičky...
Tak ako pri každej väčšej udalosti aj teraz sme sa rozhodli zhromaždiť naše pocity zo včerajšieho večera a vybrať si stylingy, ktoré nás uchvátili, no aj tie, nad ktorými sme len pokrútili hlavami. Konečný výsledok je teda taký,že sme obe boli trochu sklamané...
The worst looks from the red carpet (to najhoršie z červeného koberca)
Since last year Nicole Richie was one of the best dressed celebrities and also the one that best represented given topic, the more we expected from this year. Therefore the biggest disappointment for us is her. Until now I don´t understand why she ´d chosen this particular dress by Donna Karan Atelier, which according to us has only a little in common with the theme and also doesn´t fit Nicole at all.
Keďže minulý rok bola jednou z najlepšie oblečených celebrít a tiež tou, ktorá najlepšie vystihla danú tému Nicole Richie, o to viac sme od nej očakávali tento rok. Aj preto najväčším sklamaním je pre nás práve ona. Doteraz som nepochopila, prečo volila akurát tieto šaty značky Donna Karan Atelier, ktoré podľa nás s danou témou mali málo spoločne a tiež sa Nicole vôbec nehodia.
The second group among the worst dressed belongs to the brands, which seemed to revenge to those, who were wearing them on the red carpet yesterday. The very worst of the worst was brand Prada, which we could have seen on two always perfectly dressed ladies, on Lupita Nyong´o and Margot Robbie. The second brand, which presented probably the worst things from its couture collection was Chanel. In the dress by this fashion house the organizer of this event Anna Wintour appeared on the red carpet first and after her Kristen Stewart wore it, too.
Ako druhú skupinu medzi najhoršie oblečenými musím určite spomenúť značky, ktoré akoby sa snažili pomstiť práve tým, ktorí sa v nich včera ukázali na červenom koberci. Tou úplne najhoršou z najhorších bola značka Prada, ktorú sme mali možnosť vidieť na dvoch vždy dokonale upravených dámach, na Lupite Nyong´o a Margot Robbie. Druhou značkou, ktorá včera asi predviedla to najhoršie zo svojej couture kolekcie, bol Chanel. Práve v šatách tohto módneho domu sa ako prvá na červený koberec dostavila usporiadateľka tohto podujatia, Anna Wintour a po nej nasledovala tiež Kristen Stewart.
The third group among the worst dressed are ladies, who we think looked like a courtesans a little bit. Whether the dresses, make-up, accessories, jewelry, shoes ... their whole styling indicated that. Kate Upton in a dress by Dolce & Gabbana and singer Rita Ora wearing Donna Karan Atelier.
Treťou skupinou medzi najhoršie oblečenými sú dámy, ktoré nám tak trošku pripomínali kurtizány. Či už šaty, make-up, doplnky, šperky, topánky ... ich celý styling tomu nasvedčoval. Kate Upton v šatách od značky Dolce & Gabbana a speváčka Rita Ora v šatách značky Donna Karan Atelier.
Another ones among the worst dressed at this year´s Met Ball are models, whose outfits are much more suitable for some kind of music awards. Always perfectly beautiful Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wearing Balmain dress and Cara Delevingne in a creation by Stella McCartney. Although they both were beautiful, perfectly dressed with appropriate accessories, it wasn´t suitable for this event!
Ďalšími v poradí medzi najhoršie oblečenými na tohtoročnom Met Balle sú modelky, ktorých outfity by sa nám skôr hodili na nejaké hudobné ocenenia. Vždy dokonalo krásna Rosie Huntington-Whiteley v šatách značky Balmain a Cara Delevingne v kreácii Stelly McCartney. Obe síce boli krásne, perfektne upravené s vhodnými doplnkami, no nie na túto udalosť!
The last group are those, who simply looked horrible, and whose overall styling was the worst. Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton dress, Shailene Woodley wearing Rodarte, Elizabeth Olsen in Miu Miu (particularly the missing pedicure in open sandals) and Neil Patrick Harris with David Burtka.
Poslednou skupinou sú tí, ktorí jednoducho boli oblečení úplne katastrofálne, a ktorých celkový styling na nás najhoršie pôsobil. Michelle Williams v šatách Louis Vuitton, Shailene Woodley v značke Rodarte, Elizabeth Olsen v Miu Miu (hlavne tá žiadna pedikúra do otvorených sandálikov) a Neil Patrick Harris spolu s Davidom Burtkom.

Since this year´s competition given the topic was not so high, we think that the outfits we have chosen are sufficient justification why we have decided so ... And because of this the best dressed on this year´s Met Gala according to us are:
Keďže tohtoročná konkurencia vzhľadom na danú tému nebola až tak vysoká, myslíme si, že stylingy ktoré sme vybrali sú dostatočným zdôvodnením, prečo sme sa takto rozhodli ... A preto najlepšie oblečenými na tohtoročnom Met Gala podľa nás boli:

And the icing on the cake is the best dressed man, Kanye West. He came on the red carpet wearing a black Lanvin tuxedo with white shirt, which he perfectly matched with slim black trousers thanks to which he looked better than anyone else!
A čerešničkou na torte je určite najlepšie oblečený pán, Kanye West. Ten prišiel na červený koberec v čiernom fraku s bielou košeľou značky Lanvin, ktorý perfektne doplnil úzkymi čiernymi nohavicami, vďaka ktorým sa vymykal priemeru!
